The UAE Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the country’s air defence systems detected and intercepted nine ballistic missiles fired from Iran. All nine missiles were destroyed, resulting in no damage to property or life. Additionally, UAE air defence systems detected 112 drones, of which 109 were intercepted and destroyed. Three drones fell within UAE territory. Reports indicate that residents in Dubai received mobile phone warnings today, advising them to stay indoors due to the suspected missile threat. The incident marks a significant escalation in the region, though the UAE’s defence systems successfully prevented any casualties or major damage. The situation in the Middle East has shown signs of calming down, but this latest attack demonstrates ongoing tensions between Iran and Gulf countries.
