The United Arab Emirates has strongly denied reports that it carried out a strike on Iran, after some Israel media outlets claimed Abu Dhabi targeted a desalination facility on Iranian territory. UAE officials quickly dismissed the reports as “fake news”, stressing that the country was not involved in any such attack.
Dr. Ali Rashid Al-Nuaimi, chairman of the UAE’s Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee, said the allegations were false and emphasized that if the UAE conducted any operation, it would announce it openly.
