The UAE air defence systems engaged seven ballistic missiles and 16 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran today, according to an official statement from the UAE Ministry of Defence. Since the beginning of hostilities, UAE air defence has intercepted 352 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,789 UAVs. The attacks have resulted in the death of two members of the UAE armed forces while performing their national duty. Six additional fatalities have been reported, comprising Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationals killed by Iranian missiles. The Ministry of Defence affirmed it remains fully prepared and ready to deal with any threat, stating it will firmly confront any attempt to undermine state security in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, security and stability, and safeguards national interest and capabilities.
