A major security breach has occurred in Jammu’s RS Pura as three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, escaped from a juvenile detention centre after attacking on-duty police personnel. The escapees have been identified as Pakistani nationals Ehsan Anwar and Mohamad Sanullah, along with local criminal Karanjeet Singh, who reportedly has over a dozen FIRs against him. During the incident, the inmates allegedly used a country-made pistol and engaged in a physical altercation, injuring a head constable and a Special Police Officer (SPO). The two Pakistani nationals were originally detained for infiltration attempts and lodged in the facility as minors, though reports suggest they may now be adults. Following the escape, the trio scaled a wall and fled the premises, prompting a massive manhunt in the border town. Authorities have raised concerns regarding the security lapse and the potential for the Pakistani nationals to attempt exfiltration across the nearby International Border.
