Two more groups previously associated with Hurriyat have decided to separate from separatism in Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the ‘Valley trusts Bharat’ and claimed that separatism has become history in Kashmir. In total, four separatist outfits have now joined the mainstream. The government’s crackdown on the separatist ecosystem, including arrests of top leaders and seizure of offices, has contributed to this shift.
