Vijay urged the people of the Union Territory not to trust the DMK, stating, ‘They will make you believe and they will cheat you.’ The actor-politician praised the Puducherry Chief Minister for providing adequate security for the event, contrasting it with the alleged lack of cooperation from the Tamil Nadu government. He strongly advocated for statehood for Puducherry, citing the 16th resolution sent to the Union government, and highlighted local issues such as the closure of mills, lack of ration shops, and the arrest of Karaikal fishermen. Vijay also invoked the legacy of MGR, reminding the crowd of the former leader’s deep connection with Puducherry.
