Despite restrictions on women, children, and infants attending, hundreds of fans surrounded his convoy at Pallikondan, approximately 10 kilometres from the main venue. Entry to the meeting is controlled through QR codes. Crowds pushed aside barricades and road work equipment, overwhelming a minimal police presence. The unplanned road show witnessed fans waving and attempting to catch a glimpse of Vijay as his vehicle moved slowly through the congested highway. Security concerns remain high given previous incidents. The scenes underscore Vijay’s growing political presence in Tamil Nadu.
