The US and Europe have weighed in on the volatile situation in Turkey, which is witnessing some of its biggest protests in a decade. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio voiced the US concerns to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in a meeting on bilateral security and trade matters in Washington. Europe rights body has also condemned what it called the disproportionate force during the protests calling on Turkish authorities to uphold the right to freedom of assembly expression.
