US President Donald Trump claims American and Israeli forces have struck over 7,000 targets across Iran, achieving what he describes as a 90 per cent reduction in ballistic missile launches and 95 per cent reduction in drone attacks. Trump states that more than 100 Iranian naval vessels have been sunk or destroyed, and manufacturing plants for missiles and drones have been hit. He urges allies including Japan, China, European nations and South Korea to help secure the Strait of Hormuz, noting these countries depend heavily on the waterway for oil supplies. Trump claims the strait is in good shape despite reports suggesting otherwise. However, allies including European nations have so far declined to commit military resources to the conflict. Trump also discusses attacks on Karg Island, stating oil infrastructure was deliberately spared but could be destroyed on short notice.
