The conflict is spilling across borders, with tankers near Doha struck, fuel tanks in Kuwait hit by drones, and fires reported in Bahrain. Trump has shifted pressure onto global allies to secure the Strait of Hormuz, criticising Europe for not stepping up. UK Prime Minister Starmer has stated this is not our war, while France, Italy, and Spain have denied military support and airspace access to US strikes. Trump has said the US is strongly considering exiting NATO, calling the alliance a paper tiger. China and Pakistan have jointly proposed a five-point ceasefire plan.
