Vladimir Putin reportedly demanded Ukrainian forces withdraw from the eastern Donetsk region, offering to freeze front lines. Vladimir Zelensky has rejected this demand, stressing on a meeting with his Russian counterpart. Donald Trump has stated he agrees with Vladimir Putin that the best way to end the war is to go directly to a peace deal without a prior ceasefire. The Russian president noted, "I would like to note that the visit was timely and very useful. We talked about almost all areas of our cooperation, but first of all, of course, we talked about the possible resolution of the Ukrainian crisis on a fair basis." All eyes are now on Vladimir Zelensky’s meeting with Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. on Monday, with European leaders also invited to attend.
