However, Iranian officials have rejected this narrative entirely, insisting there have been no direct talks with the US and calling Trump’s claims misleading. Tehran also warned that any attack on its power plants would put all energy in the Gulf at risk. The announcement comes amid global oil price increases and market volatility, leaving questions about whether this represents a genuine peace opening or a tactical pause.
