President Donald Trump has said that Washington’s peace plan for Gaza would involve the drawing up of a timeline for Israeli forces to withdraw from the Palestinian enclave in phases. Trump also thanked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for agreeing to his 20-point plan for Gaza, then issued a warning to the Palestinian group Hamas that Israel would have the United States’ "full backing" to destroy the militant group if they rejected the deal.
