A day after polling his followers on X about the creation of a new U.S. political party, Elon Musk announced on Saturday (July 5) that the "America Party" has officially been formed. “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party — and you shall have it!” Musk declared in a post on X. “Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.” His announcement comes just a day after President Donald Trump signed a tax-cut and spending bill into law on Friday (July 4), a move that the Tesla CEO strongly opposed.
