Citing Russia’s increased aggression on Ukraine, US President Donald Trump warned fresh banking sanctions, tariffs, and other measures against the country on Friday. His comments follow his administration’s decision to cut off US military assistance and information cooperation with Kyiv, which was viewed as being biased in favor of Moscow.
"Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘pounding’ Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED," Trump posted to Truth Social.
