Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, US President Donald Trump urged NATO countries to raise their defense budgets to 5% of GDP, highlighting the unfair weight that the US has been bearing on international defense expenditures, especially in the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump also drew attention to the discrepancy in funding, pointing out that the US had contributed USD 200 billion more to the war than NATO.
