Donald Trump’s UNGA 2025 speech is going viral, but when you check the facts, his claims don’t hold up. He said he ended “seven wars,” yet Egypt and Ethiopia weren’t even at war, Serbia and Kosovo signed only an economic deal, Congo’s rebels are still fighting, and India flatly denied that Trump brokered its ceasefire with Pakistan.
Trump called himself “really good at predicting things,” but he wrongly predicted Democrats wouldn’t win in 2020 and said COVID would “disappear like a miracle.” Both turned out false. He claimed climate change is a “con job,” but deadly floods just hit India, China, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia. He bragged about “very low inflation,” yet Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s numbers show a different reality. He promised tariffs would “make America rich again,” but consumers and farmers paid the price. And Trump even accused India of funding Russia’s war, which Ukraine’s Zelenskyy himself pushed back against. Trump’s speeches bring big applause lines, but the truth on the ground tells another story.
