A horrific accident near Hiriyur in Chitradurga district claimed at least 20 lives when a speeding container truck collided with a private luxury sleeper bus, causing it to catch fire. The bus driver reported attempting to avoid the overspeeding truck, but the impact was unavoidable. The cleaner was ejected from the bus due to the force of the collision.
