Traders in Mira Road have taken to the streets to protest against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers who assaulted a shopkeeper for not speaking Marathi. The incident, which occurred on June 29th, was captured on video and went viral. Thousands of traders have gathered for a march to the shop where the incident took place. The Traders Association has submitted an application to the police, demanding strict action against the attackers. Police have assured that a charge sheet will be filed within two days, and traders have requested the addition of IT Act charges to the case. The protest aims to ensure such incidents do not recur in the future.
