India is observing the 76th anniversary of Constitution Day today. Also known as Samvidhāna Divasa or National Law Day, this day is celebrated every year on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The Constituent Assembly passed the Constitution on 26 November 1949, and it was formally implemented on 26 January 1950.
