A political controversy has erupted in West Bengal after the Delhi Police sent a letter to Bangabhawan requesting a translator for ‘Bangladeshi language’. The communication was for translating documents obtained from individuals arrested during a search for illegal migrants. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged this is an attempt to insult the Bangla language.
