A stampede at a token counter near Tirupati temple has resulted in six deaths and approximately 40 injuries. The incident occurred when a large crowd of around 4,000 devotees rushed forward as the counter opened. Chief Minister is expected to visit the site. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured all possible assistance. Temple authorities are conducting an inquiry into the incident.
