A stampede at Tirupati Temple has resulted in 6 deaths and approximately 30 injuries. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is expected to visit the injured at Rhea Hospital and provide ex-gratia to victims’ families. The incident occurred when a gate was opened to assist an unwell woman, causing a rush of people. The Chief Minister has demanded an investigation into the incident.
