The Supreme Court has ordered a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations of adulterated ghee used in laddus distributed at the Tirupati temple. The court emphasized that it doesn’t want the matter to be turned into a political drama. The SIT will consist of two CBI officials, two Andhra Pradesh police officers, and one senior officer from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
