The US Secret Service said Tuesday it dismantled a telecom network in the New York tristate area that posed an imminent threat to senior US officials and had the capacity to cripple cellular service.
According to the US Secret Service, investigators uncovered more than 300 SIM servers and 100,000 SIM cards across multiple sites. These devices, concentrated within 35 miles of the UN meeting, were linked to anonymous telephonic threats targeting US officials.
