This fund began investing in entities across India, including acquiring a 75% stake in Rootbridge Services Pvt Ltd. Rootbridge subsequently started channeling funds to NGOs in India, with reports suggesting that some of these FDI funds were diverted for other purposes such as paying the salaries of employees at various NGOs.
