Ramesh Jigajinagi, deeply hurt over not being appointed minister in Modi Cabinet 3.0, questioned BJP’s anti-Dalit stance. The Vijayapura MP, victorious in 2024 general election by 77229 votes, is the only South Indian Dalit MP elected seven times. Nirmala Sitharaman reappointed as Finance Minister, and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy became Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel.
