In an interview at the India Today Conclave 2026, KC Venugopal, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Kerala and General Secretary (Organisation), India National Congress, defended his party’s electoral losses and accused the Election Commission of India of being partisan. He stated, ‘There is no system for free and fair elections under this Election Commission of India.’ Venugopal blamed multiple institutions, including the media, Income Tax department, CBI, and Enforcement Directorate, for creating obstacles for the Congress. He praised Rahul Gandhi as an honest and brave leader working for common people.
