The speaker highlighted Ukraine’s use of AI-enabled systems that have created a ‘digital killing web’ with detection-to-strike times of five minutes, fundamentally altering combined arms maneuver. The speaker warned, ‘We have not even begun the journey,’ and called for Northern Command to be AI-enabled like Indo-PACOM. The speaker also criticized India’s procurement system, stating ‘L1 is a disease, it has to go,’ and urged a shift from cost-focused procurement to attracting top talent and fostering startups. Captain Nikunj Parashar discussed establishing the world’s first drone shipyard in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the Navy’s leadership in indigenization and the need for India to become a maritime nation.
