The Blue Dogs of Chernobyl: Mystery, Mutation or Chemical Exposure? | GRAVITAS
Shocking new images have emerged from the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, showing several stray dogs with bright blue fur.
These animals, descendants of pets left behind after the 1986 nuclear disaster, have long symbolized survival in one of the most radioactive places on Earth.
Now, caretakers from the Dogs of Chernobyl organization say at least three dogs have turned an unnatural shade of blue, likely after contact with a chemical substance.
Researchers are testing samples to determine the cause and raising questions about contamination, adaptation, and how life continues to evolve in this ghost town.
