A rift has emerged within the Congress party after MP Shashi Tharoor spoke in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading to a backlash from his own party members. Senior Kerala Congress leader K. Muralidharan has stated that Tharoor will not be invited to any party programs in Thiruvananthapuram until he revises his position on national security. Muralidharan also asserted that Tharoor is no longer considered "one of us." In response to the criticism, Tharoor defended his stance, stating, "To my mind, the nation comes first. Parties are a means of making the nation better." The controversy also touches upon Tharoor’s previous praise for PM Modi’s energy and diplomacy, as well as comments on former leaders Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, with the final decision on any action resting with the Congress High Command. #shashitharoor #congress #tharoorvscongress #itwebvideos #kmuralidharan #narendramodi #nationalsecurity #indianpolitics #keralapolitics #thiruvananthapuram #politicalrift #nationfirst #congresshighcommand #rahulgandhi #foreignpolicy #diplomacy
