A multi-agency investigation is underway following a deadly car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, with Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha reviewing the situation. The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (UP ATS) has also joined the probe into the explosion that resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. HM Amit Shah said, ‘a government is in action mode after this blast’. Many of the victims who suffered grievous burn injuries were rushed to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital. The Home Minister met with the injured and the relatives of the deceased at the hospital. The blast was powerful enough to damage several cars and auto-rickshaws in a radius extending up to 100 metres.
