Telangana Floods: 600 Rescued Amidst Heavy Rains, CM Reddy To Conduct Aerial Survey | India Today

Heavy rain, caused by a low-pressure trough over the Bay of Bengal, is impacting southern India. In Telangana, rising water levels in the Godavari and Sabari rivers have led to flooding, with the Sabari River reaching 35 feet near Chinturu. The district of Kamar Reddy is severely affected, with Kamaradi town and parts of Rajampeta and Bibipet inundated. In response, Chief Minister Ravindra Reddy is scheduled to conduct an aerial survey of flood-hit districts including Kamar Reddy, Medak, and Nirmal. Rescue operations are a priority, as a speaker noted, “Since yesterday, we were able to rescue more than 600 people, including 300 children.” The flooding has also caused significant travel disruption, with officials working to manage traffic on a diverted NH44 while assessing the widespread damage. #telanganafloods #heavyrains #southindia #itwebvideos #floodalert #kamarreddy #telanganarains #rescueoperation #ravindrareddy #godavari #sabaririver #weatherupdate #monsoon #flooding #nh44 #telangana
