A massive explosion at Sigachi Industries Pvt. Ltd., a pharmaceutical unit in Sangha Reddy district of Hyderabad, has resulted in 36 deaths. Telangana Chief Minister Revanta Reddy visited the site and announced compensation of ₹1 crore for families of the deceased, ₹10 lakh for severely injured, and ₹5 lakh for those with partial injuries. Out of 143 people present during the blast, only 58 have been identified so far. Rescue operations are ongoing with various agencies involved.
