On this India Today special report, entertainment correspondent Sana Farzeen discusses the highly anticipated teaser release of ‘Durandhar 2’. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, features a powerful dialogue by Ranveer Singh’s character: ‘Yeh naya Hindustan hai, yeh ghar pe ghusega hi nahi, maarega bhi’ (This is a new India; it will not only enter the house but will also kill). Farzeen highlights that the film is a spy drama set in Pakistan and is scheduled for a theatrical release on 19th March 2026. She notes that while most of the film was shot in one go, actors Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Dutt recently completed patchwork to refine the storytelling. The report also touches upon the shift in streaming rights to Jio Hotstar and the inclusion of new music, including a contribution from Philip Rajji. Trade experts are already predicting the film to be a major blockbuster of 2026, following the massive success of the first installment.
