A freight train carrying fuel from Chennai port has caught fire after derailing near Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred when the train was en route, resulting in four out of six bogies catching fire. Railway officials are working to decouple the bogies and contain the blaze. Firefighting operations are underway, with fire tenders facing difficulties due to the intensity of the fuel-fed flames. Local authorities have evacuated nearby residential areas and removed vulnerable individuals due to the risk of smoke and fumes.
