He discussed regaining the trust of the forty thousand Muslim voters in Royapuram, stating that minority communities now view him as their sole protector. Discussing the upcoming elections, D. Jayakumar predicted he would win "With thumping majority as in two thousand eleven." The conversation also touched upon his party’s promise to immediately provide two thousand rupees to citizens upon forming the government.
