Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s entry into Tamil Nadu politics has created a significant stir. He has openly declared the ruling DMK as his "political enemy" and stated he will not ally with any party, like the AIADMK, that sides with the BJP. In response, senior AIADMK leader Rajendra Balaji advised Vijay to join their alliance to defeat the DMK, warning his ambition would otherwise end. While the DMK leadership has reportedly ordered its cadres not to retaliate against Vijay, a minister controversially likened responding to him to engaging with a "barking dog". Speaking exclusively to India Today, VCK leader and DMK ally Thirumavalavan commented on Vijay’s offer of a coalition government, stating, "Maybe his villain wish to become a chief minister of Tamil Nadu, but it is not easy one… this is not high time for coalition in our state."
