At a political rally in Tamil Nadu, a speaker declared the upcoming election as a ‘war between Vijay and Stalin’, framing it as a battle between the people and alleged corruption by the DMK government. The speaker stated, ‘This is a war between people and corruption, bribery and mismanagement of DMK. This is a war between people of Tamil Nadu and your government against Stalin.’ Positioning themselves as inseparable from the people, the speaker claimed, ‘Vijay and people are not different. Vijay and people are blood related. You cannot separate Vijay from the people.’ The speaker challenged the Chief Minister to publicly declare property holdings before and after entering politics, asking, ‘What was the property value that you had before you came to politics? And what is the property value after you came to politics? Can you openly declare it?’ The speaker also accused opponents of spreading fake news and described the election as one that ‘comes once in 50 years’, emphasising that ‘everybody is opposing Vijay’ because ‘Vijay is opposing corruption and bribery.’
