Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin filed his nomination from Kolathur constituency, expressing confidence in a massive victory for the DMK alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. Speaking to India Today, Stalin claimed that the alliance would secure a definite victory, revising his earlier prediction of 200-plus seats upward. The Chief Minister is contesting from a single constituency, which is being viewed as a sign of confidence. This comes as actor-turned-politician Vijay contests from two seats, with his party claiming representation from both the city and central Tamil Nadu. The report notes that even during anti-incumbency, the AIADMK secured more than 60 of the 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. Stalin attributed the alliance’s expected success to the small promises made by the DMK, which he believes will bring massive change. Large crowds gathered to support the Chief Minister during his political rally from Kolathur.
