Aadav Arjuna, a candidate for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has launched a sharp attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, accusing the DMK of practicing ‘monarchy-style’ dynasty politics. During a campaign event in Villivakkam, Arjuna claimed that Stalin intends to elevate his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, to the position of Chief Minister within the next year. He further alleged that the succession plan extends to the next generation, predicting Udhayanidhi’s son would eventually become an MLA, Deputy Chief Minister, and Chief Minister. Meanwhile, PMK chief Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, campaigning in Perambur, criticised TVK chief Vijay. Ramadoss questioned whether voters wanted a leader based on ‘glitz and glamour’ who operates from a private residence in Panaiyur, or someone who works on the ground. He also mocked Vijay for asking victims of a stampede to meet him rather than visiting them himself. The report highlights the intensifying political rivalry in Tamil Nadu between the DMK, TVK, and PMK.
