Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026, the BJP has inaugurated its state election office in Chennai. Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran announced that seat-sharing talks with ally AIADMK will begin only after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on March 1.
Senior BJP leaders including L. Murugan, Tamilisai Soundararajan and Pon. Radhakrishnan were present at the inauguration. Nagenthran also launched sharp criticism of the ruling DMK government, alleging a breakdown of law and order in the state.
