Supreme Court Questions Rahul On China Remark, But Pauses Defamation Trial | Rahul Gandhi News

The Supreme Court has stayed proceedings in a trial court regarding a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi. The case concerns his remarks that Indian territory had been taken over by China. While granting the stay, the Supreme Court questioned the Leader of Opposition for making sensitive statements about a border clash without evidence, particularly on social media instead of inside Parliament. The court asked, "if you had any questions, why did you not raise them in Parliament? Why make such statements in the media?". The remarks were reportedly made during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in response to a media query. In his petition, Rahul Gandhi raised legal objections, stating a general person could not have filed a defamation case against him for asking questions about the government. The government has maintained that no Indian territory has been taken away. #supremecourt #rahulgandhi #defamation #itwebvideos #china #indiachina #stayorder #indianpolitics #indiatoday #newsupdate #bharatjodoyatra #indianarmy #parliament #legalnews
