Supreme Court: India Not A 'Dharamshala', Can't Host Refugees From All Over | India Today

The Supreme Court has rejected a plea from a Sri Lankan origin individual facing deportation after serving a 10-year sentence in India. The court stated that India, with its population of 140 crore, cannot be expected to host refugees from all over the world. The bench, comprising Justices Dipankar Dutta, emphasized that India is not a ‘dharamshala’ and the petitioner must return to his country or seek refuge elsewhere. #supremecourt #indiarefugees #legalruling #itwebvideos #deportation #indiapopulation
