A shocking incident of public apathy in Bengaluru is caught on camera, where a 34-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack on a busy public road. The distressing footage shows the man’s wife pleading with numerous passers-by for assistance as he collapsed on their two-wheeler in the Banashankari area, but no one stopped to help. The report highlights the absolute lack of emergency response, noting that ‘this is a clear case of public apathy, nobody is least bothered about the other person who is suffering on the roads.’ Despite the wife’s desperate attempts to get help, the couple was eventually assisted by a single good samaritan on a bike. However, the man succumbed to the heart attack and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The incident raises serious questions about public indifference in the city.
