Thousands of Gen-Z demonstrators stormed Nepal’s Federal Parliament in New Baneshwor, turning peaceful Nepal Protests into violent clashes as they broke through barricades, set fire to the parliament gate, and clashed with security forces. Fueled by outrage over a government ban on 26 social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and YouTube, for failing to register under state rules, these Nepal Protests also demand an end to entrenched corruption. Police responded with tear gas, water cannons, and rubber bullets, leading to at least nine deaths and over 40 injuries, including journalists.
