The Enforcement Directorate has filed a charge sheet in the National Herald case, naming Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The charge sheet alleges that properties worth over 2,000 crore rupees were fraudulently acquired by Young India Limited for just 50 lakh rupees. The next step will be for the court to decide on starting a trial in this case. Additionally, the charge sheet accuses Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi of money laundering and was filed before the Rouse Avenue Court. On the same day, Robert Vadra was questioned for 9 hours by the ED in a separate 2008 Haryana land deal case. The Congress has called it political vendetta, while the ED says it is investigating alleged financial irregularities.
