A suicide car bomb attack outside the G-11 judicial complex in Islamabad, Pakistan, has reportedly killed at least twelve people and injured several others. The blast, caused by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, struck a supposedly secure area in the nation’s capital. In the immediate aftermath, Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, has attributed blame to Afghanistan, a claim made as another terror incident was reported at the Cadet College in Wana, South Waziristan. According to India Today’s Pranay Upadhyay, ‘this incident took place in the heart of Islamabad, the judicial complex, which is supposed to be a very secure complex.’ No group has officially claimed responsibility for the Islamabad attack.
