A day after a Supreme Court order on stray dogs, horrifying attacks were reported from Kanpur, Pune, and Madhya Pradesh. In Kanpur, 21-year-old student was mauled by three dogs, receiving 17 stitches to her face. In Pune, a pack of seven dogs attacked a man, while in Madhya Pradesh, a 10-year-old girl was also brutally attacked. These incidents follow a Supreme Court directive to confine aggressive and rabid dogs to shelters. Meanwhile, a massive protest erupted outside the Rohini Dog Sterilization Centre, with demonstrators alleging animal cruelty and demanding the release of the dogs.
