A stampede at New Delhi railway station resulted in at least 18 fatalities and numerous injuries. The incident occurred on platforms 14 and 15 as Mahakam devotees crowded the area. Eyewitnesses reported that a last-minute platform change contributed to the chaos. The government has announced compensation of 10 lakh rupees for victims’ families. Railway officials and police are investigating the cause of the stampede.
